- carmen
- As a parent and science teacher, I spend my days bringing children into the field to observe nature directly, to ask questions and find answers. Children are natural scientists and only need opportunities for exploration.
What we're doing around here
- reading for fun!!!
- running and eating less and keeping track of it with My Fitness Plan and EndoMondo... summer shape up in progress
- Traveling for most of July: went to Michigan, headed to the Bahamas and Cape Cod
- trying to stay cool with out central AC
- Writing, making lists, setting goals

- Reading Bird of Paradise: How I Became Latina by Raquel Cepeda (she grew up in the same neighborhood as Jup)
- Mama just read Outliers by Malcom Gladwell,,,, amazing book!
- listening to radio lab pod casts on road trips
- listened to the audiobook of "The Cay" by Theodore Taylor as we drove
- Just finished Maya's Notebook by Isabel Allende
- Jove is zooming through books so fast I can't keep track of it. He reads a book almost every day.
